 HOW TO ORDER

You can order from Hadeel in several ways:

  • Online:
    • Browse for items, which are listed either by type of product or by producer group, of use the keyword search box on the right-hand side of most pages.
    • Click on the name of any items to see details, or simply click Buy Now.
    • Add to shopping cart any items you wish to purchase - after you have indicated the quantity and any preference of design, colour, etc. if there is a choice on that item.  A summary of your shopping cart is always on view at the right side of the screen.
    • Proceed to checkout - please review carefully the contents of your shopping cart.  It is easy to adjust the cart - quantities or deleting altogether - and then Update Cart.  You can return to do more shopping if you wish by clicking More Shopping
    • Sales Tax (VAT):  Only customers in the EEC need to pay the 17.5% VAT.  If, for example, you order from the USA, the price of the item will be 17.5% less than shown on the website!  This will be shown as 0% tax in the  payment area.  You may  of course be liable to pay an import duty to your country of origin.
    • Postage - please choose either option, Best Way to have it posted or Walk In to come to the shop to collect.  UK shipping addresses have flat rate postage at £4.95. For shipping addresses abroad, postage charges are adjusted according to the weight of items and total order.  The amount of postage is clearly shown on the checkout page.
    • Returning customers please Sign In, or if you are a new customer please fill in details as prompted, using an e-mail address you check regularly.
    • Shipping Address and Method - let us know where to ship your order
    • Payment information  and a Password - you will see the various ways to pay, including several debit and credit cards as well as sending a cheque to Hadeel.  Your account will not be debited until we confirm that all the items you ordered are available.  Our server is completely secure, but if you do not want to enter credit or debit card details on the internet, you can phone us the details - simply select the cheque option and phone 0131 225 1922.
    • Confirmation and completion:  You will receive an email confirming that we have received and are processing your order.  Again, we will notify you when we have sent the order, which we aim to do within 3 days of payment being received, although in busy periods this may be longer.

  • By Email or Telephone:
    • Browse on the website, choose and list all the information about the products you wish to buy.
    • Phone or email us.  Please include code number, quantity, description and any other relevant information, e.g. colour or size.   Tell us if you will accept a substitute for any item and by when the goods are needed.
    • We will then inform you of the amount due, including postage.
    • Payment: available options are above, i.e. with card details on phone or sending a cheque.
  • Returns: If for any reason you are unhappy with an item you have purchased from Hadeel then you can return it with receipt within a month of purchase, in new condition and we will either replace, exchange or issue a credit note (good for twelve months from date of issue), as appropriate. If goods are faulty or do not meet specifications, Hadeel will pay the postage.

NOTES ABOUT PRODUCTS

The photos on this website and items on the order form are only some of the items we stock in our Edinburgh shop.  Please ask about larger, more expensive items such as waistcoats/vests, shawls, cushion covers, olive wood pieces, and books.   Embroidered products in the main are washable; the thread is DMC which will not fade or run. Wash as wool, with cool water.

Measurements are in centimetres, giving first the length (horizontal) then the height (vertical).

Size of embroidered items may vary slightly because each piece is hand made and finished.  Counted cross stitch means finished size depends on the density of the weave of the fabric.  It is not always possible to get materials woven at consistently the same tightness.

If you are in Edinburgh, do look into the shop and see the full display of crafts, books and campaign materials from many different organisations concerned with Palestine and Israel.
