Description
These attractive, beautifully crafted paper products are made by a long established, family-based organisation in Northern India. They set up in business in 1970 and although they are now a large and successful enterprise, fair trade and social objectives are higher than ever on their agenda. Their focus is to provide steady, reliable and valued employment which creates self-reliance and stronger community spirit among the workers of rural India. The paper which these flower-printed stars are made from has been cleverly crafted out of 100% recycled cotton waste – this is generally offcuts from the Indian garment industry. No wood is used in the production process and the local environment is respected.
