Dukhni was founded by Zuhair Taher Nabee, originally from Yemen, using traditions started by his great grandmother and passed down in his family since 1907. In 1979, political unrest forced his family to leave Yemen. Dukhni was thus born to try preserve and share heritage and craftsmanship while giving back to those similarly affected by conflict.
At Dukhni, the belief is that responsibility extends beyond what is created. Through the Dukhni Amal Project, a portion of every purchase is dedicated to supporting those in need. So far, hot meals have been provided in Yemen and Gaza, warm clothing has been distributed in Lebanon and an orphan from Yemen has been adopted… This is just the beginning. As Dukhni grows, so does the commitment to compassion.
